I am beyond excited to collaborate with Dékor today to share all about the Dékor Diaper Pail and how it immediately became my diaper changing secret weapon for a mess and stress free diaper changes! If you are a new mom or going to be a mom soon, you NEED this in your life!

As an ex nanny and now new mom to a sweet 4 month old boy, I have changed my fair share of diapers. From the quick and simple, to the big giant blowouts, I’ve tackled them all. Because of that, I’ve lucked into trying a variety of diaper pails, and I can now say I know which is the best of the best.
When I was creating my registry, I went out on a limb a little bit and tried the Dékor Diaper Pail, and am SO glad I did. I hadn’t tried it before, but the other top diaper pail options I had and knew I didn’t like. Dékor had a ton of amazing reviews, and I can attest to each one being true.
Sharing below exactly what makes the Dékor Diaper Pail so amazing and why it’s the diaper pail you need on your baby registry!
This post is all about my Dékor Diaper pail review and all the features you need to know about!
100% Hands Free
Easily one of the very best features is the fact that it is completely HANDS FREE!! Seriously, all you have to do is step on the foot petal and the lid opens, then drop the diaper and it easily falls right through trap door.
No using your hands to open the lid or push a bunch of old stinky diapers down. I can’t tell you how many times as a nanny I had to stuff my hand down the diaper pail they had. So gross.
This feature alone makes it a game-changer!
Besides not having to push diapers down, it’s been so nice to be hands free while tossing the dirty diapers away. My baby is on the move now, and we really have to keep an eye on him (and hand) because he is so close to flipping over aka flipping off the changing table. To be able to keep a hand on him and easily toss the diaper away gives me such peace of mind.
Plus, he’s not always a huge fan of diaper changes, so he can get fussy and upset. Being able to be super quickly toss the diaper away is crucial.
And of course, let’s not forget about those incredibly messy changes, where you need to somehow grow a third hand mid-change. I can’t imagine dealing with that and having to open up the diaper pail first with my hands or having to push the diaper down.

Double Lids
Double the lids = double the smell protection!
We go through approximately a million diapers a day, and not once have we walked into the nursery and been met with diaper stink.
On the top, it has a self-closing whisper lid. Basically like a soft close feature on a drawer. It’s super quiet so it doesn’t disturb baby if their sleeping. Beneath that is the odorkeeper trap door. It’s a spring-loaded lid that allows the dirty diaper to fall through the door then spring back up locking in any unpleasant smells.
The dual rubber seals on these lids really helps to keep odors completely locked in. Nothing stinky for you or baby to have to smell on a regular basis! Just toss the diaper and you’re done with the stink.

Two Childproof Locks
This is something we haven’t had to utilize, but I’m sure we will as my son grows and becomes more curious. There are two childproof locks to keep your little one from getting in the diaper pail and making a huge mess!
There’s a hidden lock on the trap door itself, so little ones can’t reach their hands in. There’s also a lock on the access door, so they can’t open the pail up and endlessly pull the continuous liner.
Made of ABS Plastic
This is another favorite feature of mine. It’s super common for diaper pails to be made of metal which means you have to be really cautious about what cleaning products you use on them. This is made of plastic meaning it doesn’t absorb odors, doesn’t dent, and can be cleaned any way you’d like!
I keep a sanitizing spray nearby and spray it down every few days. It’s also easy to wipe clean if any messes get on it.
Uses a Continuous Liner with childproof cutter
Some people might like being able to use their own trash bags, but I much prefer the continuous liner. I know that these bags perfectly fit the pail so I feel like we save money in the long run instead of using trash bags that wouldn’t fit properly or hold the same amount of diapers that these liners do.
Also, we can change it out as often as we like!
The cutter is beyond easy to use, but childproof, so I know my little guy will never accidentally cut his finger.

Are you convinced?!
I never knew I could feel SO passionately about a diaper pail 😂 but truly this thing is a game changer. I can’t imagine having to go back to using what I used to in my nannying days after using this for 4 months! I know we will continue to use and love the Dékor Diaper pail for many years to come!
