This apple cinnamon oat cake only takes a handful of ingredients, cooks up in the microwave, and makes for a super simple breakfast for toddlers!
Another super simple breakfast recipe for babies or toddlers!! Takes 1-2 minutes to prep, then it cooks up in the microwave, and you’re good to go! I typically cut these in bars and my son will have 1-2, then I’ll save the rest for later or the following day. Enjoy!

BABY LED WEANING
This would be a great recipe to serve babies starting at 6 months, once they’ve been safely introduced to the allergens in the recipe. For younger babies, typically it’s best to serve bigger pieces since those are easier for them to hold. Once they develop the pincer grasp (pointer and thumb pinching together), then you can start to give them smaller pieces.

ALLERGENS
This recipe has eggs and dairy. The dairy comes from milk and can easily be replaced with a dairy free alternative.
If you’d like to try it with an egg replacer, this one available online at Target. This post highlights other ideas for egg substitutes in recipes.
STORAGE
This makes a small batch, so we didn’t have a ton of leftovers. This made 2 portions, so the second portion I stored in the same container I cooked it in, in the fridge.
SUBSTITUTES & ADD INS
You can add in a little sweetener either to the batter or on top after it’s cooked.
TOOLS USED/RECOMMENDED
Souper Cubes Stoneware 5″ Square Baking Dish – this is what I used to cook the cake in. I do really like these! But any microwave safe dish will work just fine. You might need to adjust cooking times accordingly.
