If you’re dealing with morning sickness or pregnancy nausea, here is the ultimate list of foods that fight nausea during pregnancy. Bookmark this one!

I started experiencing pregnancy nausea on the very first day I got a positive pregnancy test all the way until 20 weeks. It’s brutal! But I did find somethings that helped and some nausea safe foods. I posted about it to my TikTok and lots of other women shared their safe foods as well, so this is the ultimate list to go through of safe foods to try while battling morning sickness.
And no, I’m not listing out anything ginger, we all know those ๐ (in case you don’t though, ginger candies, ginger ale, gingersnaps, anything ginger is usually recommended)
This post is all the best foods that fight nausea during pregnancy.
It goes without saying but obviously different foods work for different people. No guarantee these will work for you but hopefully gives you some ideas of what you can try!
Also, a lot of these might not be the “healthiest” option out there. I encourage you to put that aside the best you can for now. You have to eat, and if applesauce and saltines is all you can get down, so be it. Baby needs calories! Take your prenatal, and don’t stress it. There’s enough to stress about with pregnancy as it is.
I also took medication, although non worked all that well for me to be honest. I tried b6+unisom, zofran, and eventually promethazine (which I think is what worked the best for me.) Talk to your doctor if you want to try! I still took unisom with all of them to help me sleep since the night time was when my nausea was the absolute worse.
What also helped me was constantly snacking. I never let myself get hungry, that always made it worse. I would keep a snack on my nightstand, usually an applesauce pouch, to have right when I woke up. From there, constantly nibbling all day.
I know water can be hard to keep down for some, but ice water helped me, so I always had it nearby and sipped all day long.
I took a gummy prenatal during this time, cleared by my doctor, because there was no way in hell I was going to be able to swallow a big ol prenatal pill.
My nausea was totally gone by 20 weeks, and weeks 16-20 it was a lot better than it had been. You will get through it!
