Here to share my biggest piece of pregnancy advice so you can avoid making the same major mistake that I did!!

pregnancy advice

I have a major piece of pregnancy advice to share after going through my entire pregnancy and now being able to look back! Seriously, if I could go back and tell myself one thing, it would be this. And after sharing on TikTok it’s clear that either this is what people are doing already, or wish they had been doing all along.

This post is all about my biggest piece of pregnancy advice.

Alright, ready for this wisdom?!

GET THINGS DONE SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!

I waited way too long to get things done and majjjoorrrrly regret it. There is a ton to prep when it comes to having a baby. So many parts to the nursery, all the baby laundry, installing the carseat, food prep, packing your hospital bags, the list goes on and on and on.

While we slowly were checking things off the list as my pregnancy went on, we left entirely way too much for the last trimester. And by we, I mean me, because I was TIRED. Moving is hard when you’re that big. Sleeping is hard. It’s all hard. So trying to get a whole bunch of chores done? Omg, exhausting.

Just going up the stairs one time per day was enough to make me feel like I needed a nap.

Not to mention that I ended up going into spontaneous labor at 37 weeks and 5 days…..without me or my husband’s hospital bag being packed. More on my positive labor story here! Yup, I was waddling around with my water broken and contractions kicking in at 2:30 am rushing to get my hospital bag ready to go. Do not recommend.

So don’t be like me!

Now, I do want to just say that if you’re holding off on prepping things due to pregnancy anxiety, I totally get it. If it makes you anxious to get things ready “too early”, don’t do it. That anxiety is NOT worth it.

However, if it doesn’t induce any anxiety for you, go ahead and prep right away! Do it day one. Trust me. Your third trimester self who just wants to relax all day long will thank you!

This post was all about my number one piece of pregnancy advice!
