TTC is a confusing and exciting time, and you are not alone in wondering what does implantation feel like. Answering that exact question here!

What Does Implantation Feel like

If you’re anything like me, you have gone down an internet rabbit hole while trying to conceive checking out any and all symptoms that could be happening during the dreaded two week wait that might mean a big fat positive is coming you’re way.

That’s 100% how I spent my tww! I was on EVERY forum out there, reading every blog post, watching every YouTube video. I wanted to see what everyone experienced to compare it against my own experiences. I shared all about that on my TikTok and have outlined it here on my blog too!

I was very fortunate to get pregnant quickly, and because I was paying such close attention, I noted down exactly what my implantation felt like!

This post is all about the question of what does implantation feel like.

My two week wait symptoms:

Sharing some quick background on my tww symptoms in case you’d like to know more about that, but if you’re just looking for your answer, skip on ahead to the next section all about implantation.

Lots and lots of blog posts on my two week wait and ttc experience if you’d like to go down the rabbit hole!

If you want the gist, here you go:

(Please note: I know you can’t feel pregnancy symptoms so early on, but I absolutely noticed my body feeling different very quickly. Do with that what you will!)

  • 2dpo: cramping
  • 3dpo: heartburn in the evening
  • 4dpo: heartburn, emotional
  • 5, 6, 7 dpo is when I felt implantation

What does implantation feel like:

The evening of 5dpo is when I started to feel something going on. I noticed a very mild backache while I was doing dishes, mostly just on the right side. I didn’t really think much of it, just happened to notice it.

On 6dpo, I had cramping on the same side, but in my uterus area. I noticed this the entire day. It lasted until part of the day 7dpo, then subsided. I’m pretty sure this was implantation happening.

Both the backache and cramping were super super mild. If I had been busier I likely wouldn’t have noticed it at all! I was on hyper alert and over analyzing everything going on in my body, so anything different stuck out to me like a sore thumb.

I didn’t realize it was implantation at the time, but I made a mental note of it.

I experienced no bleeding alongside this.

The morning of 8dpo was when I got my first positive pregnancy test. It was faint, but a clear positive. And now I have an almost 6 month old son!

What does implantation feel like for others:

Here’s what I remember reading when I was down my ttc rabbit hole!

  • Sharp cramps (sometimes on one side, sometimes both sides)
  • The same feeling as period cramps
  • Dull ache
  • Back ache
  • Absolutely nothing!

I know it’s hard not to drive yourself crazy wanting to know! Trust me, I was there. I hope this helps clarify a little what you can look out for and possibly expect. Sending lots of baby dust your way!!

This post was all about what implantation feels like.
