My 8DPO Pregnancy Test Experience (Positive!!)

If you’re curious about what an 8DPO pregnancy test can look like, and if it’s even possible to be positive that early, I’m sharing exactly my testing experience below! Trust me, it’s a good one ❤️

8DPO pregnancy test

I was very fortunate that my 8dpo pregnancy test experience was a positive one. It’s a moment I’ll never forget! And it’s crazy to look back on it now that I have my 3 week old baby boy in my arms 😭

This post is all about my 8DPO pregnancy test experience.

Writing this 8dpo pregnancy test post is so surreal to me, as I just gave birth to my baby boy a few weeks ago! Spoiler alert 😝

If you read any of my previous two week wait symptoms posts, like 2dpo symptoms, 4dpo symptoms, 6dpo symptoms, and 7dpo symptoms, you know that I was symptom spotting hard, but for good reason! I was absolutely experiencing symptoms I hadn’t experienced previously in the days leading up to my period, so it was hard not to read into them.

I held out, just barely, until 8dpo to take a pregnancy test. We were at my MILs for the weekend and I brought exactly one with me, so I wouldn’t be tempted to take any more than that. Although I had been experiencing symptoms, I still wasn’t expecting a positive pregnancy test, or at least to see one that early on.

I woke up all too early the morning I hit 8dpo, and took the test. And there it was, a second line! The most beautiful little line I’ve ever seen.

I was in complete shock and disbelief, but I could clearly see the line. I didn’t know if it was a faulty test, a evap line, or something else making it a false positive and since I only had one test with me, there was no way for me to check. You might not even be able to see it on the picture above, but in person it was clearly there. I was NOT imagining it. I had seen negative tests before, and there was no denying a second line. I feel so lucky to have gotten a positive pregnancy test at 8dpo.

I spent the entire day checking that picture in secret, hiding it from my husband. I didn’t want to tell him until I was absolutely positive and I was definitely in major disbelief.

Luckily for me, on 9dpo, I got a whole bunch more positive pregnancy tests. More on that soon 🙂

And here I am writing this post, as my sweet baby boy snoozes away in the other room ❤️

Is 8DPO too early to test?

Clearly not in my case! I got a clear positive pregnancy test the morning I hit 8dpo. I felt implantation cramps around 6dpo, and it takes 2 days for pregnancy hormones to show up enough to turn a pregnancy test positive, so the timing checks out!

What’s the most sensitive pregnancy test?

In my opinion, it’s the Bird & Be pregnancy test. This got me my clear positive at 8dpo, which is on the early side. Highly recommend! Also, the code MESSYBUN10 will give you 10% off your first order!
