3 DPO Symptoms Leading to BFP

If you’re in your two week wait and searching high and low online for the possible 3 dpo symptoms leading to bfp, I’m sharing exactly my experience below!

3 dpo symptoms

3 DPO symptoms can be such a mind game. You’re in the early part of your two week wait, and it can be nearly impossible not to symptom spot and read into absolutely everything your body is doing. I know, I was there. You aren’t alone in reading into everything and over analyzing constantly! Sharing what I experienced on 3DPO, since I ultimately got a positive pregnancy test that cycle!

This post is all about my 3 dpo symptoms leading to bfp!

I was symptom spotting like crazy during my two week wait, and noted down each and every symptom I noticed, especially if it was out of the norm. I’m pretty sure all of them were, which is why I had a feeling in my gut I was going to get a positive pregnancy test!

On 2dpo, I had some cramping. This was super unusual for me, I never had cramping following ovulation. It was the first symptom I had during this two week wait, and immediately I hat the thought in the back of my mind that this was it.

I know, I know, you can’t have pregnancy symptoms that early. But I’m a believer in knowing your body and knowing what’s normal for you. What I experienced was NOT normal for my cycle, so I was on high alert.

The next day, my 3 dpo symptoms were minimal. The cramping was gone, so I was starting to feel like I was imagining anything being outside of the norm.

That night however I had heartburn, which was another odd symptom for me. I rarely had indigestion, and it was over mashed potatoes, a super bland food. It was enough for me to take Tums. Super strange!

4 dpo symptoms were minimal again. I was feeling really emotional that day. On 5 dpo though, things started to get interesting…

The night of 5 dpo I started to have some minor back pain only on one side. Super super minor, not enough to need to take any kind of medication, but enough for me to notice it. A little bit of general cramps as well, again, only on one side.

6 dpo the cramps were still there, only on the one side still. I now know these were implantation cramps! This was basically my only implantation symptom, as I didn’t experience any bleeding along with it. I also noticed my veins becoming more noticeable around my upper thighs and lower stomach, basically all pointing to my uterus.

By 7dpo, the cramps were gone, but the veins had increased! I now was seeing them all over my chest. I remember going to my husband and saying something like if I’m not pregnant right now I’m really going crazy!

I could just tell so much was different in my body, and if it wasn’t pregnancy, I was really going to feel insane.

Then came 8dpo, aka when I got my very first positive pregnancy test ❤️

And here we are, just about a year later, writing this post with my 3 month old sweet baby boy asleep in his carrier on me.

So, did my symptoms in those early days like 3dpo mean anything? I’ll never know for sure. But I think I knew my body best and could absolutely tell something different was going on in there!

Sending you lots of love and baby dust!
