If you’re on the hunt for 7 month old baby led weaning meal ideas, this post will have you covered with tons of inspiration!

We started baby led weaning at 6 months, and by 7 months he was already up to 3 meals a day. He really took to solids quickly! This post goes into all the details of Our Experience with Baby Led Weaning at 6 Months if you want to read more about that.
Sharing below actual meals my son had while 7 months old. Like I said, things ramped up, so he was eating a ton! All of the meals I tried to aim for a protein, carb, and fat. Looked a little different for each plate, but that’s roughly what I was always going for. But this should give you plenty of ideas for breakfast lunch and dinner!
The Solid Starts app was my GO TO resource on how to prepare foods safely for his age. It’s $10 for the year and it was my savior in those early weeks. Gave me so much peace of mind! Highly recommend to all moms just getting started with blw.
All of his meals were served with water in his honey bear cup which taught him to drink from a straw in just 2 days!! Amazing how quickly he learned with this cup (and we had tried a different cup prior and he did not get it at all.)

Here are a ton of 7 month old baby led weaning meal ideas:

This was banana spears, plain full fat greek yogurt with applesauce and cinnamon mixed in, and zucchini turkey meatballs (recipe found here! super easy!)

Pasta mixed with some salt free seasoning and cottage cheese, raspberries, and frozen steamed green beans.

He has some form of this breakfast most mornings. Eggs, fruit, and toast/waffle/pancake. These were whole wheat waffles from Trader Joe’s with a little bit of butter. If we’re out of eggs I’ll do chicken sausages.

This was toast with cottage cheese, mashed cauliflower from Trader Joe’s, and tofu that I just cubed and pan fried with some salt free seasoning. I think here I used the 21 seasoning salute from Trader Joe’s. The toast is Ezekiel bread.

This was tortellini and pesto from Costco, sliced cucumbers, and banana spears.

Steamed broccoli (a fave of his!), salmon (he didn’t love, but since has changed his mind), and bananas.

This was leftovers from our Christmas dinner. Roasted broccoli, a roll, chicken, and mashed potatoes. He loved it!

This was an Ezekiel english muffin with refried black beans and melted cheddar cheese, bananas, and steamed broccoli.

This was some shredded chicken, roasted potatoes, blueberries and half of a slice of Swiss cheese (which he did NOT like 😂 ).
That’s the gist of it! I have tons more pictures, but they’re mostly just the food above in come combination. I try to keep things simple! I hope this gave you some ideas on what you can try with your little one!
