This post is all about gestational diabetes options at Chick-Fil-A.
A few tips:
Generally, GD ladies often skip the whole bun or just eat half, cut down on fries, and/or pile on the protein That’s what you’ll see below. And isn’t it just the way that fries seem to mess with our blood sugar, no matter how we try to balance them out? So, if you’re giving fries a go, maybe start with just a few. That’s how it was for me, which was the worst!
Also, did you know you can check out the carb counts for the whole menu online? Super useful for planning ahead, but let’s be real, even if something fits within your carb limit, it doesn’t always mean it’s going to play nice with your blood sugar. Gestational diabetes can be sneaky like that!
Drinking lots of water and going for walks can do wonders, too!
And here’s a little hack for you: if you’re grabbing a sugar-free drink and wanna make sure they didn’t mess it up with the regular kind, you can test it with your blood sugar monitor. Just dip a test strip in there like you’re testing your blood. It’ll be super clear if they’ve handed you a sugar bomb or not!
